BSTW vol. 10

My little nephew showing me that he can crawl fast as lightning

Such an amazing and neat idea for keeping a key with you while you're running or out and about your neighborhood. I love this!

Adorable bee candy packaging!

I need this. Because I love naps. In a perfect world, I would take a nap every day.

Great and beautiful type made of fake flowers by Antonio Rodrigues

These chairs are amazing. I want one. Real badly.

Chair theme. Colorful outside chairs are great! I've never had lawn furniture, the best I had was a chair from the 60's with lime green velvet on my porch. These beauties are amazing.

Love this hand lettering by 48 Savvy Sailors.

Country Weekend Girls Extravaganza

Over the weekend, I had the awesome opportunity go out of town to a country house with my Bridge Club for one of our member's 30th birthday! It was great! I love rural Georgia (to visit). The people are so friendly and life seems so peaceful. The stars are super bright and there are cows every where. I absolutely love cows! I don't know why, I just love them.

We had such a lovely time. Mary's (pictured above) mom came out and gave us a proper bridge lesson (we usually trudge through a hand or two then chat and eat and laugh). We also had craft time for a couple of hours and made headbands. Mine is pictured above.

Beading little pearls onto crochet thread is quite a challenge. Expletives were expressed, but it was worth it once the final product was complete.

Love this one, it's so Lana Del Rey

Chico had a freakin' blast. He loves to run as fast as possible. Thankfully, he didn't have to wear a leash while we were in the fields. I love seeing him so happy and excited.

We were on the prowl for goats. We found bunnies instead.

My bridge hand sucked big time.

Alix received an inflatable unicorn horn to match the one for cats given out on Christmas.

It ended up being such a lovely weekend.

Have a great Monday!

BSTW vol. 9: Valentine's Day Edition

It's almost Valentine's Day! I absolutely loved it as a child and then once I got to high school, I hated it. I'd wear all black to protest and I absolutely refused to participate. I told every boyfriend (until I was 22) that I didn't want any mention of it.

This year is going to be my first real Valentine's Day and I'm so excited (but within reason, I don't think it's going to be the most amazing day of my life or anything. I just enjoy little celebrations). In honor, here are some of my favorite Valentine-y things I've seen lately.

So cute! Some little heart barrettes would be great all year 'round!

Lovely little heart studs! I'm super into studs at the moment and I really want these!

Cutest card!

Awesome geometric heart garland!

Sugar hearts, amazing, I can't wait to make these for something. And again, I'd like point out that it's not ombre, it's gradient. Geeez

Offline awesome: this insane week is almost over, I'm about to leave for an awesome girls' weekend, being super in love, talking to my amazing girl friends a lot, more possession movies with my buddy

Have a wonderful weekend and a lovely Valentine's Day :)

Ah Ha! vol. 6 Change

Picture from On the Write Track

Today was hard. I have a friend going through a crisis. I want to be there for her, but she won't let me. I'm sad for her, but at the same time, it's allowed me to reflect.

I've changed soooooooo much in the past year. I'm like a different person. Me a year ago was exactly where this friend is, and like her, unable to see the light. Watching my friend be oblivious to how amazing and beautiful and talented and smart and wonderful she is gives me perspective on the times I beat myself up.

In the past year, I've chosen the harder road (for me). I don't want to be sad, I don't want to be alone and I especially don't want to be sad and alone. Ew. And slowly, I'm not as much of an unpleasant bitch to be around. Now, occasionally, people call me for advice. I get invited to things. I have friends. I am a friend.

While today was especially hard, I did all the right things, and even if I hadn't, it was the best I can do. Another lovely lady friend called me to tell me I'm a great friend and how much she appreciates me.  This is really the apex of how much I've changed. I feel so grateful and amazing :)

BSTW vol. 8

{photo by Hannah and Landon, styling by me}

Amazing Mochi Things pens. I'm super weird about my pens and these have a needle point tip, they're amazing (not to mention you can get one in orange, my favorite color).

More amazing patterned packaging (this time for Helt). I just can't get enough. Probably also has to do with the fact that I'm working on some patterned branding items.

This is super amazing. I want to be besties with whomever wrote this little gem.

Yes, please!

You might not know that rings are my favorite kind of jewelry. If I could get away with wearing one on every finger, I'd do it. Whimsey Milieu, bravo!

This summer, I'm all over this thing. I usually wear one pieces because I'm so self conscious about my body, but this I thing I can handle.
Best things offline: saying "interpretator" to Drew and laughing hysterically about it/being really productive/lunch with a cousin I haven't seen in a while/craft party/cheese and pickles for dinner/new phone/all of the red hots my friends and family have bought me because I was complaining I hadn't been able to find them anywhere in 2 years

Have a great weekend!
